Law enforcement detained eight people Thursday, Feb. 12, while executing a search warrant on a Federal Street residence in Butler, state police announced on Friday.

Six of the eight people detained had bench warrants, police said. They were taken to Butler County Prison.

Large quantities of cocaine, heroin, money and two illegally possessed firearms were also found.

State police vice and narcotics troopers, Butler City police, Attorney General Region 6 narcotics agents and members of the Butler County Drug Task Force and U.S. Marshals Task Force participated in the operation.

Felony drug charges are pending, police said.
