Cranberry Elks inviting people to ‘The races’
The Cranberry Elks Lodge is hosting a Night at the Races on Feb. 21.
Prior to the event, people can name a horse for $10 or sponsor a race for $100. Guests can place wagers on the horses for each race and then watch recorded races — usually various older races. Prizes are awarded after each race.
The event, which is open to the public, benefits the Cranberry Elks Veterans Committee charities, according to a flyer.
Doors open at 6 p.m., the first race is at 7.
Tickets can be purchased at the Elks bar. The entry fee is $50, and includes beer and appetizers.
