Vance, Massella add to pool resumes
Butler graduate and Grove City College freshman Abigail Vance repeated as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while classmate and Slippery Rock product Mollie Massella earned the league’s Newcomer of the Week nod.
Vance totaled four solo wins during the Wolverines’ final two dual-meets of the season, while Massella, who’d earned Newcomer of the Week honors twice already this season, swept the butterfly at Clarion.
Rock forward notches defensive honor
Slippery Rock University men’s basketball big man Kerwin Prince posted a 24-point, 12-rebound double-double and added five steals as The Rock downed Pitt-Johnstown 85-67.
He was named the PSAC Western Division Athlete of the Week for that effort.
