Value City Furniture to close

A few Pittsburgh-area Value City Furniture stores, including one in Butler County, are going out of business after their parent company filed for bankruptcy.

American Signature Inc., the parent company of Value City Furniture and American Signature Furniture, filed for bankruptcy in November and has issued going-out-of-business sales at 79 Value City Furniture stores across 13 states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, West Virginia, Maryland and New York.

Four Value City Furniture stores across the Pittsburgh region are scheduled to close, including one at 20111 Route 19, Cranberry Township.

The going-out-of-business sales will continue while inventory lasts, and all sales are final. Gift cards are no longer accepted at any stores.
