The hammered aluminum industry of Grove City

Continuing the Grove City Area Historical Society’s emphasis on the hammered aluminum industry of Grove City, Skip Sample has devoted the February display at the Grove City Community Library to the aluminum creations of Arthur Palmer.

While only in the field for about seven years, Palmer has created many unique and interesting designs. Later on, he continued applying his artistic talents in his well-known linen business, which also was a Grove City area staple for many years, according to the historical society.

Visitors to the Grove City Community Library can see the display from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Fridays; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. The library is at 125 W. Main St., Grove City.
