Marilyn “MeMe” (Hodgkiss) Hartman, 81, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026.

She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 21, 1944, daughter of the late John “Jack” Hodgkiss and Ruth McIntosh.

MeMe received her bachelor's in business administration from Robert Morris University. She was the owner of Hartman Tax Service.

MeMe was a member of the Moose Lodge in Butler. She was known for being deeply devoted to supporting her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. MeMe will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

MeMe was the beloved wife of the late Gordon Hartman, whom she married Aug. 8, 1964; mother of Lonni Hartman DePolo, Gordon “Butch” (Dawn) and Russell (Rhonda) Hartman; sister of Patricia Hodgkiss-Elder, Edward (Maryann), Daniel (Shannon), Teddy (Judy), Robert (Darlene) and Larry (Patty) Hodgkiss, and Trudy McNamara; grandmother of Michael (Tonya) Hartman, Emma Turner, Stefani and John Hartman, and Danielle and Christian DePolo; and great-grandmother of Cason Turner.

Along with her parents and husband, MeMe was preceded in death by her siblings, Gordon, Thomas and Lenny (Chris) Hodgkiss.

HARTMAN — Family and friends of Marilyn “MeMe” (Hodgkiss) Hartman, who died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A Catholic blessing service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
