Darlene Edinboro
Darlene K. Edinboro, 75, of Slippery Rock, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born on April 15, 1950, in Grove City, the daughter of the late Dewitt Burton Boosel and Margaret Ruth (Sankey) Boosel.
Darlene worked at Allegheny Valley schools as a caregiver. She was a member of Branchton Community Church.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Ernest “Ernie” Edinboro, whom she married Dec. 15, 1972; one daughter, Michele Hohmann, and her husband, Darwin, of Boyers; one son, Ernest W. Edinboro, and his wife, Lenis, of Wilmington, N.C.; three grandchildren, Owen Howard Hohmann, and Elbie and Ernest Edinboro; one sister, Delores Laderer, of Slippery Rock; sister-in-law, Linda Boosel, of Hermitage; one brother, Nelson Boosel, and his wife, Sandy, of New Wilmington; and several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kayleigh Hohmann; and her brother, Dewitt Boosel.
EDINBORO — Family and friends of Darlene K. Edinboro, who died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, will be received for visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Branchton Community Church, 490 Branchton Road, Slippery Rock. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Rich Marshall officiating.
