Crews worked across Butler County to clean up the mountains of snow leftover from Sunday’s snowstorm.
From Butler to Saxonburg and Zelienople to Chicora, communities worked to haul the built-up snow out of the city or borough.
Saxonburg crews could be seen working early Thursday, and Zelienople began its effort on Thursday evening. The latter would work from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday into Friday and Friday into Saturday.
Butler City Councilman Troy Douthett said, as of Tuesday, Jan. 27, the roads department is planning to have snow hauled out of Main Street and the business district.
The National Weather Service reported the county received 11 to 20 inches of snow from the weekend storm.
