Transit Authority to offer limited service Wednesday
Butler Transit Authority will offer limited service options for Wednesday, Jan. 28, as a result of continued weather conditions and unsafe roads.
For local service, only routes 1 and 5 will operate, according to a news release from the authority. As for commuter service, only commuter routes 2 and 3 will operate to and from Pittsburgh.
“The Butler Transit Authority is experiencing difficulty safely navigating certain city streets. Many streets have been reduced to a single lane and are too narrow for buses to operate safely. In addition, snow accumulation at intersections is limiting buses’ ability to make safe turns,” the release stated.
The authority advised future delays or modifications may occur and passengers should check for updates at butlertransit.com before traveling.
