Fenelton native, North Catholic WR Preston Simko commits to Slippery Rock football

North Catholic senior receiver Preston Simko has committed to play at Slippery Rock University, he announced Wednesday night on X.

Simko, who’s listed at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds on the Trojans’ MaxPreps football roster, led the WPIAL with 16 touchdown receptions this past season. He finished the regular season with 31 grabs for 769 yards, the latter of which led North Catholic.

Simko, a Fenelton native, transferred to North Catholic from Butler after his junior season.

He also had offers from Edinboro, Gannon and Morehead State.
