Velora Catterall
Velora Ann Catterall, 76, of Slippery Rock, passed away at Quality Life Services — Grove City, on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, following an extended illness.
Velora was born in Grafton, W.Va., on April 19, 1949, to Richard Jones and Rhea Lake Norris.
She was a member of St. Faustina Parish, St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Forestville. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished family time. She had worked as a waitress and most recently had worked at Eat’n Park in Springfield Township, Mercer County.
Survivors include three children, son, Michael H. Catterall, of Kittanning, daughters, Michelle L. Catterall, with whom she made her home, of Slippery Rock, and Melissa M. Catterall and husband, Adam VanMeter, of Brunswick, Md.; five grandchildren, Courtney, Doug (Kellie), Chelsea, Brittany and Adelyn; and five great-grandchildren, Caleb, Karsen, Landon, Clara and Kayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
CATTERALL — Per her request, there will be no public services for Velora Ann Catterall, who died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026.
Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
