North Catholic boys basketball outscored host Burrell by a combined 18 points in the first and third quarters, sparking a 59-41 victory Tuesday night.

Senior guard Jason Fredericks netted 24 points, including four 3-pointers, for the Trojans (14-4, 8-1 WPIAL Section 1-4A). Brandon Pickett added 19 points.

New Castle 45, Seneca Valley 39 — The Raiders held a potent lineup to its lowest output of the season, but still came up short on the road.

SV (10-8, 5-6 WPIAL Section 1-6A) was paced by Owen Congdon’s 14 points, and Andrew Omasits chipped in 12.

New Castle (17-0) remained undefeated.
