Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Jan. 5 — Taylor Robert Sharkey, 35, of McKees Rocks, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of driving while suspended, controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a Dec. 29 incident. Police said Sharkey was driving without a valid license and had suspected cocaine, a white capsule, a metal push rod, a metal container with residue, three glass pipes, one empty syringe, one loaded syringe, a glass jar with white residue, a black scale with white residue and a knotted corner baggie with white residue.
Jan. 5 — Kiera Paige Emigh, 24, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a Dec. 29 incident. Police said Emigh had suspected cocaine, a white capsule, a metal push rod, a metal container with residue, three glass pipes, one empty syringe, one loaded syringe, a glass jar with white residue, a black scale with white residue and a knotted corner baggie with white residue.
Jan. 12 — Philip Leight Covel III, 52, of Butler, was charged with felony criminal trespass and one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following a Jan. 12 incident. Police said Covel was in a building without permission and had two stamp bags of suspected heroin, six syringes and one burned crack pipe.
Jan. 12 — Katelyn Joy Messer, 29, of Butler, was charged with felony criminal trespass and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession following a Jan. 12 incident. Police said Messer was in a building without permission and had two empty stamp bags, five syringes and three burned crack pipes.
Jan. 12 — Rylee McCloud, 22, of Renfrew, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Dec. 30 crash. Police said McCloud had a blood alcohol content of 0.118%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 12 — Abigail Nicole Hoover, 43, of Harmony, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Dec. 12 crash. Police said Hoover had a blood alcohol content of 0.15%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 13 — Ronald Lee Miano Jr., 58, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Jan. 10 traffic stop in Center Township. Police said Miano had a blood alcohol content 0.110%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Jan. 21 — Police investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash at 7:04 a.m. near the intersection of Main Hill Road and Given Street in Fairview Township. Police said Edward D. Crawford II, 45, of Rimersburg, was driving a Jeep Patriot when he struck an embankment, continued off the road, went up another embankment, struck a tree and then rolled over. Crawford was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
