Harrisville Volunteer Fire Company is inviting anyone willing and able to join it to help out neighbors struggling with the aftermath of Winter Storm Fern.

According to a post on the company’s Facebook page earlier this evening, the organization is asking anyone “willing and able” to “help shovel a few neighbors’ out who are unable to get out and shovel.”

Participants were asked to meet at the firehall with a shovel at 5 p.m.

Those who know someone unable to shovel themselves are asked to call Calista at 724-967-5521.

The organization’s post noted warm drinks would be served after.
