Clyde Gray Jr.
Clyde M. “Skip” Gray, Jr., 77, of Wellsburg, W.Va., formerly of Mars, passed away on Friday evening, Jan. 23, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born in Pittsburgh, March 23, 1948, he was the son of Clyde M. “Rosie” and Clara Kristian Gray.
Skip worked for 34 years as a custodian and maintenance man at the Mars Area School District.
He had served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of Mars V.F.W. Post 7505 and the Mars American Legion Post 787.
A life member of the Mars Volunteer Fire Company, now Adams Area Fire District, he had been a fire police officer and a firefighter.
He was a member of the Valencia United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Wise Gray, whom he married on June 30, 1973, two sons, Adam Gray (Brittany) and Matthew Gray, both of Wellsburg, and his grandchildren, Maxx and Mina Gray.
GRAY — Friends of Clyde M. “Skip” Gray, Jr., who died Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Martin, officiating.
Burial will be in Mars Cemetery.
