Baney

Carol E. Baney, 82, of Harmony, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 20, 2026, with her family by her side.

Born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 3, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Berry Danner.

She attended St. Gregory Catholic Church, Zelienople.

Carol enjoyed watching the Steelers, but above all she loved her family.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Baney Jr., on Sept. 12, 2024; two sisters; and four brothers.

Carol is survived by two daughters, Leslie (Gary) Owens and Barb (Bob) Buchanan; two sons, James Baney III and Rich (Audrey) Baney; five sisters, Audrey (the late Lyle) Craft, Jeannie (Ray) Russ, Lois (George) White, Karen (Nick) Kujbus and Joanne (Matt) Kravits; sister-in-law, Betty Danner; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

BANEY — Services are private for Carol E. Baney, who died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, and burial will be in the Evans City Cemetery.
