What’s canceled, closed or rescheduled in Butler County because of this weekend’s predicted snowstorm

This weekend’s impending snowstorm has prompted organizations and businesses across Butler County to announce closures and reschedule events.

SUNDAY

– The Clearview Mall announced on Facebook that it will close the mall on Sunday for “everyone’s safety.” Department stores and restuarants may opearate and should be contacted directly for their hours or potential closures. The KRG Toy Show will go on as planned for Saturday.

– Both Butler County based YMCAs will be closed on Sunday and will delay opening until 9 a.m. Monday. The Monday delay includes a 9 a.m. opening of all its child care and early learning centers. People are encouraged to see further updates on the YMCA’s Facebook page.

– Butler Catholic School’s planned open house has been rescheduled to 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 22.

— A spaghetti dinner planned for this weekend at the White Star Club is postponed to Feb. 1.

– The American Legion Post 117 will be closed Sunday and Monday. It will reopen at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

MONDAY

– The Butler Area Public Library has announced plans to open at noon on Monday because of the impending snow storm. The library is closed on Sundays. If further delays in openings are planned, that will be communicated on the library’s Facebook page.

– Both Butler County based YMCAs will delay opening until 9 a.m. Monday. The Monday delay includes a 9 a.m. opening of all its child care and early learning centers. People are encouraged to see further updates on the YMCA’s Facebook page. They are closed Sunday.

—Due to a predicted winter storm, Butler Transit Authority service may be limited or suspended if weather conditions become unsafe on Monday. At this time, no service changes have been confirmed, but riders are encouraged to monitor updates and plan accordingly. Information will be posted at butlertransitauthority.com and on the transit authority’s Facebook page.

– The hair salon, Encore Studio by audra jane, will be closed on Monday due to the storm.
