Police identify Butler man seriously injured in Monday crash on Route 422
A Butler man sustained a suspected serious injury Monday, Jan. 19, in a two-vehicle crash between a passenger vehicle and a plow on Route 422 in Franklin Township near The Atrium.
Drew T. Piper, 40, of Butler, driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer, was taken by Butler Ambulance Service to Allegheny General Hospital with suspected serious injuries following the crash.
Police said Trevor D. Callihan, 25, of Chicora, was driving an International Harvester plow turning left out of The Atrium parking lot when Piper struck the plow.
Police said Piper then left the road, struck two road signs and had to be extricated by Prospect Volunteer Fire Department personnel.
Potential charges against Callihan are pending investigation.
