Book pages will come alive at Butler Rotary Club PM’s annual luncheon at Butler County Community College in February.

The Luncheon for Literacy begins at noon on Sunday, Feb. 22, at Founder’s Hall at BC3, 107 College Drive in Butler Township.

The luncheon will feature special guest author Dick Hartung, of Butler. His book “Good On Ya,” was written for his children. Additionally, it will be catered, feature raffle baskets, silent auctions and a vote for the best table. Each will be decorated to reflect a particular book.

The event supports the BC3 Adult Literacy program through the BC3 Foundation, which has helped about 600 adults obtain a commonwealth secondary school diploma in the past 16 years. The program offers high school equivalency prep, English as a second language, basic reading, writing, math and computer skills, and technology training, said a news release from BC3.

Visit Butler Rotary’s website at butlerrotary.org to become a decorator or sponsor. Tickets may also be purchased on the site.
