Betty Moniot, 89, of Butler, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

She was born in Butler on March 13, 1936, to the late Paul and Hubertine “Birdie” (Weber) Fundark.

Betty was a homemaker but also worked at Spade Shirt Factory and Wagner Printing.

She was known for being a loving sister, wife, mother and aunt to 64 nieces and nephews. Betty loved plants, bird watching, crossword puzzles and sudoku. She was an avid reader, and a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Julius “Mike” Moniot; mother of Catherine (John) Coleman, Linda Boulanger, Susie (Bill Jr.) Hauck and Michael (Connie) Moniot; sister of Marcia Smith, Pauline Clever, Joyce Crispin, and Richard and Gene Fundark; grandmother of 15; great-grandmother of 23; great-great-grandmother of three.

Along with her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Jane Anthony, Shirley Salkeld, Judy Moore, Ronald and Robert Fundark, and an infant brother and sister.

MONIOT — All services for Betty Moniot, who died Monday, Jan. 12, 2026, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A celebration of life will be announced in the spring.
