Property tax/rent rebate application open for eligible Pennsylvanians
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue is accepting applications from eligible residents for the property tax/rent rebate program.
The program provides financial relief for those age 65 and older, widows and widowers age 50 and older, and people with disabilities age 18 and older.
The program was recently expanded to raise the maximum standard rebate to $1,000 and raise income eligibility limits for homeowners and renters. The income limit for rebate applicants is now $48,110.
Applications can be submitted at mypath.pa.gov and do not require signing up for an account. Assistance is available at hundreds of locations across the state, including department of revenue district offices, local area agencies on aging and state legislators’ offices.
