Rankin

Tracy L. Rankin, 53, of Butler, passed away in the comfort of her home and in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026.

Born Sept. 25, 1972, in Butler, she was the beloved daughter of Ronald Suchonic and Sandra Miller Suchonic.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Ritchie Rankin, whom she married June 21, 1997; her son, Tyler Rankin, of Iowa City, Iowa; her brother, Tim Suchonic and his wife, Glenna, of Atlanta, Ga.; and two nieces, Madison and Sydnee.

Tracy was a kind and loving soul whose warmth was felt by everyone she met. Her constant smile and joyful spirit had a way of lifting others up, bringing happiness wherever she went. Those who knew her will forever remember the love she brought into their lives. She cherished spending time with the people closest to her, especially by the pool.

Tracy was a devoted and supportive mother, wife, daughter and friend, always placing the needs of others before her own until the very end. She will be forever loved by those closest to her and will always remain in our hearts and minds. As we look back on the many beautiful memories shared with her, she will continue to bring smiles to our faces.

RANKIN — Friends of Tracy L. Rankin, who died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Services will immediately follow at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Brian Bocian, of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, officiating.
