Spanish singer-songwriter Julio Iglesias has been accused of sexual and physical assault by two women who previously worked for him.

The results of a joint investigation by elDiario.es and Univision Noticias were published on Tuesday, detailing the allegations from both anonymous women.

After three years of reporting, the outlets gathered that the women experienced sexual assault, workplace harassment and verbal and physical abuse while working for Iglesias at his homes in 2021.

The publications also note that the claims are supported by evidence, including photographs, phone records, text messages and medical records.

Represented by Women’s Link Worldwide, the two women went public under the pseudonyms Rebeca and Laura.

While Iglesias has yet to comment publicly, both women released statements on the organization’s website.

“I am doing this to get justice for three reasons. The first is for myself: for how difficult this process has been and for everything I have had to face in order to overcome it,” Rebeca wrote. “The second is for the women who work in his homes: I want to tell them to be strong, to raise their voices, to remember that he is not invincible. And the third, for my country so that something like this never happens again and so that he understands that he cannot come and do whatever he wants without facing the consequences.”

Laura’s statement read, “My goal is to ensure that no woman ever suffers this kind of abuse from him again. I want to send the message that women are victims and survivors, not perpetrators or guilty parties.”

Laura also said that Iglesias regularly threatened to fire her and dictated how much food she was allowed to eat.

“He always said I was fat and had to lose weight,” Laura explained, describing the environment as “normalised abuse.”

A bestselling musical icon, Iglesias has won two Grammy Awards and been inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is also the father of Enrique Iglesias.

Actor Kiefer Sutherland arrested for allegedly assaulting a ride-hail driver, police say

LOS ANGELES — Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats early Monday morning after Los Angeles police say he assaulted a ride-hail driver.

Just after midnight, officers responded to a call reporting an assault at an intersection just south of Hollywood Hills. The Los Angeles Police Department said they determined Sutherland entered a ride-hail vehicle, physically assaulted the driver and “made criminal threats toward the victim.” The driver did not require medical treatment, police said.

Sutherland was arrested and released from jail a few hours later on a $50,000 bond, according to jail records. His first court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 2.

An email sent to representatives of Sutherland requesting comment was not answered.

Sutherland went to jail in 2007 after pleading no contest to a drunken driving charge. He was also convicted in 2004 for drunken driving and has had several other alcohol-related arrests since the 1990s.

The British-born Canadian actor is best known for his longtime portrayal of federal agent Jack Bauer on the Fox TV ticking-time-bomb thriller “24” and several spinoffs. He also starred in “The Lost Boys” and “Young Guns” and appeared in two films directed by Rob Reiner, “Stand by Me” and “A Few Good Men.”

He is the son of Hollywood acting luminary Donald Sutherland.

Actor Michael Keaton is named Man of the Year by Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Actor Michael Keaton has been named 2026 Man of the Year by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals.

The theater group, which dates to 1844 and claims to be the world’s third-oldest still operating, announced Wednesday that Keaton will receive his Pudding Pot award at a celebratory roast Feb. 6. Afterward, Keaton will attend a performance of Hasty Pudding’s 177th production, “Salooney Tunes.”

Hasty Pudding Theatricals gives the awards to people who have made lasting and impressive contributions to the world of entertainment.

The Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning actor is known for his roles in “Batman,” “Birdman,” “Beetlejuice,” and “Spotlight.” More recently Keaton has starred in and directed the short film “Sweetwater” and starred in and executive produced the eight-part Hulu miniseries “Dopesick.”

“He was Batman, then Birdman, and now, most importantly, he’s a Pudding man!” producer Eloise Tunnell said in a statement. “Keaton is no stranger to being a superhero, but let’s see if that training earns him a Pudding Pot. We cannot wait to welcome him on February 6th: until then, don’t say his name three times!”

Other recent Man of the Year winners have included Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds. Actor Jon Hamm won the award last year.

Hasty Pudding’s Woman of the Year Award, which dates to 1951, will be awarded Jan. 30.
