Dorothy M. Peffer, 88, of Harmony, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, while under the care of Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing in Harmony.

Born Dec. 10, 1937, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dorothy Day, and was raised by the late George and Flora Kidd.

Dorothy was a lifetime member of Grace Church of Harmony. In her younger years, she enjoyed raccoon hunting with her late husband, Ralph Sr., and canning vegetables and fruits in the summer. In recent years, she enjoyed shopping, watching her soap operas and reading medical books and tabloid magazines. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her children, David Eichenauer and Connie Sarver; her stepdaughter, Janice Zacherl; her grandchildren, Leah (Robert) Sipe, Michael (Chassidie) Eichenauer, Dayna Eichenauer, Jeremy Eichenauer and Heather Eichenauer; her great-grandchildren, Haley (fiancé, Gavin), Raine, Jessup, Trinity, Gavin, Macie, Cheyenne, Mason, Grayson and Ashby; her great-grandchildren, Maddie and Kaiden; her foster brother, Rick Zentz; her sister-in-law, Kathleen Eichenauer; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her foster parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Gilbert Eichenauer; her second husband, Ralph H. Peffer Sr.; her son, Dennis Eichenauer; her stepson, Ralph H. Peffer Jr.; her siblings, Mary Ziegler and John, Samuel, Pete and Gerald Day; and her foster siblings, Billy, Carrie, Elmire, Betty and Linda.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kadima for their wonderful care of Dorothy.

PEFFER — Friends of Dorothy M. Peffer, who died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, will be received from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with Pastor Nick Prugar officiating.

She will be laid to rest privately at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.
