Hartman

Gordon Hartman, 82, of Butler, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2026.

He was born in Butler on March 4, 1943, to the late Edwin and Sophie (Nowakowski) Hartman. Gordon received his associate degree and was a self-employed concrete and drywall contractor.

He was a baseball coach and a member of Falcon Club of America and Moose Lodge of Butler. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

Gordon was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Hodgkiss) Hartman, since their marriage on Aug. 8, 1964; father of Lonni DePolo, Gordon “Butch” (Dawn) and Russ “Rusty” (Rhonda) Hartman; brother of Ron (Karen) and Dale (Sandra) Hartman; grandfather of Michael “Mikee,” Emma, Stefani and John Hartman, and Danielle and Christian DePolo; and great-grandfather of Cason Hartman.

HARTMAN — Family and friends of Gordon Hartman, who died Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A Catholic blessing service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
