Dennis McKernan
Dennis J. “Denny” McKernan, 70, of Evans City, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, while under the care of Cranberry Place.
Born May 6, 1955, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edward Vincent and Margaret McGovern McKernan Jr.
Denny was an insulator by trade and a member of the VFW in Evans City. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brother, Michael F. (Linda) McKernan; his sisters, Susan M. Lipecky, Nora “Missy” (Carl) Sutermaster and Elizabeth (Pat “Skip”) Bertsch; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Denny was proceeded in death by his brothers, Edward V. McKernan III, Thomas R. McKernan, Kevin P. McKernan and Kenneth J. McKernan; his brother-in-law, Dennis Lipecky; and his sisters-in-law, Candace McKernan and Barb McKernan.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Cranberry Place for their care of Denny, especially his social worker, Madisyn.
MCKERNAN — Friends and family of Dennis J. “Denny” McKernan, who died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, will be received from noon until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
