Karen Mae Lyons, 76, of West Sunbury, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.

She was the daughter the late Clinton and Evelyn Rader.

She was a 4-H member in her youth, showing cattle and horses, and eventually became a 4-H leader for Powder Mill Trail Riders for 15 years. Karen was associated with Western Pennsylvania Girls Barrel Racing Association, Pennsylvania Amateur Horseman’s Association, Penn-Ohio Barrel Racing Association and Ohio Valley Team Penning Association. She was also a retired driver for Campbell Bus Lines.

Karen leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband Lewis “Mike” Orr Lyons, whom she married Aug. 16, 1967; her daughter, Tammy (Mike) Roberts; her sons, Dale (Jennifer) Lyons and Jeff (Debra) Lyons; her grandchildren, Cole and Ben Lyons, and Shanna Simmons (Maurice Masterson); and sisters, Myrna (Tom) Robson and Deborah (Ron) Schettler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Rader.

LYONS — Friends of Karen Mae Lyons, who died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the funeral home.

Karen will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.
