Police: 4-year-old boy was inside vehicle that overturned in Monday crash
A 4-year-old boy was in a vehicle that overturned in a crash Monday, Jan. 5, on West Sunbury Road in Clay Township, state police said.
Police said Kayda R. Burek, 26, of New Kensington, and Laura A. Mohler, 69, of West Sunbury, were driving in opposite directions on Route 308 at 6:50 a.m. when their vehicles collided near Rennick Road.
Police said Mohler’s vehicle, a Ford Explorer, came to a controlled stop after the collision. Burek’s vehicle, a Jeep Compass with the 4-year-old passenger, overturned on the west berm.
The child was evaluated at the scene by Butler Ambulance Service. He was seated in a front-facing child safety seat.
Burek and Mohler were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.
