Patrick “Pat” Fitzpatrick, 60, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, of complications from a severe burn.

He was born in Butler on March 5, 1965, to the late Anna Mae and Bernard Fitzpatrick Sr.

Pat graduated from Butler Senior High School and was employed in construction and also worked at Trinity Industries.

When Pat was young, everyone was amazed by his agility, especially riding his bike. He would do wheelies and ride on one wheel for very long distances. Pat was known for his many different colored Converse tennis shoes. Pat was a boxer at the Cubs Hall for many years. He boxed at the Monza Event Center in Monroeville and held a record at that event for an 11-second knockout. Pat held strong Catholic values throughout his life.

Pat is survived by his sister, Jacqueline (Fitzpatrick) Mackalica; and two brothers, Bernard Fitzpatrick Jr. and Timothy Fitzpatrick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his son, Shane; brother, James; and three sisters, Mary Margaret, Sandra and Constance.

FITZPATRICK — Family and friends of Patrick “Pat” Fitzpatrick, who died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, will be received from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler, PA 16001. A Catholic blessing service will immediately follow in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
