Cody Detwiler
Cody Lee Detwiler, 26, of Evans City, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025.
Born March 19, 1999, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Joey and Tina (Scharf) Detwiler.
He was a compassionate, funny and unselfish person. He would lend a hand anytime you needed and make a thousand jokes while helping. You would often find him in the garage tinkering away on something and if he wasn’t there, you’d find him outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, being with his friends and riding his Harley. Cody was a tire technician for Goodyear and previously worked with his brother at Detwiler Landscape and Concrete.
The world will not be the same without him, but he will live on through others by donating his organs, because that was the kind of person he was. He would never let anyone suffer and giving the gift of life will be his lasting impression.
In addition to his parents, Cody leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brother, Douglas (Gillian) Detwiler; grandparents, Sammie Scharf, Pap Ray and Linda Middleton; aunt, Michele (Andy) Green; uncle, Joseph (Tina) Scharf; nephews, Owen, Weston and Thomas Detwiler; along with many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Douglas Scharf; uncles Kevin Detwiler and Thomas Wearing.
