Pedestrian injured, struck by vehicle Monday night in Butler
A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Monday night, Jan. 5, on South Monroe Street in Butler.
The pedestrian was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital following the 8:47 p.m. incident in the 400 block of South Monroe Street, according to Butler Bureau of Police Chief Robert O’Neill.
“We are awaiting an update on condition and it is under investigation as to the cause,” O’Neill said.
He said the driver was not intoxicated and stayed on the scene.
Butler Ambulance Service and Butler Bureau of Fire also responded. Crews were on the scene for about 15 minutes.
