Man banned from Goddard School following disturbance, prior power incident

A man was removed from The Goddard School after an incident last month in which he allegedly caused a disturbance on the property while children were present.

The man, who was identified as James Chester Linn, arrived to the school in a black Ford pickup truck shortly after noon on Dec. 8.

The school’s owner, Giovanni Cuzzocrea, contacted police and told them Linn “was causing a problem,” an affidavit states.

When Cuzzocrea went outside to see what he wanted, Linn allegedly threatened to call state police and have him arrested “for not locking the exterior power shut-off switches,” and was yelling profanities, according to the affidavit.

Cuzzocrea told Linn the facility is a preschool and that he needed to leave the premises. The responding officer reported reviewing video and audio of the incident on scene.

The affidavit notes Linn’s grandson and another juvenile had previously been cited for disorderly conduct in connection with a Nov. 30 incident at the same location, during which the power was shut off to the school building and parking lot during winter temperatures.

Police said they attempted to contact Linn twice by phone following the December incident but did not receive a return call.

According to the affidavit, Linn and his grandson have since been banned from The Goddard School property.
