Rosemary Ballard

Ballard

Rosemary L. Ballard, 75, of Renfrew, passed away peacefully in her home Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, surrounded by family.

Rosemary was born Oct. 7, 1950, in McKeesport, Pa., and was the daughter to the late John P. King and Mary (Finyo) King.

Rosemary graduated from McKeesport High School in 1968 before going on to become a certified nursing assistant. She worked at Butler Memorial Hospital for many years before retiring in 2009. She also enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles, coloring and being on her back porch with her loved ones listening to the oldies while taking in nature and having fun. Family was everything to Rosemary.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard J. Ballard Sr., whom she married on June 6, 1970; one son, Richard J. Ballard Jr., of Clintonville, Pa.; one daughter, Melissa (Eric) Shiever, of Renfrew; and four precious grandchildren, Nikki, Alec, Andrew and Alaina. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Spearline, of Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Thornberry; and two brothers, Gordan King and John King.
