Charles H. Trimbur, 81, of Butler, peacefully passed away in the presence of his loving family and in the comfort of his home on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.

Born April 30, 1944, in Chicora, he was a son of the late Howard Trimbur and Lavada Hilderbrand Trimbur.

Charlie formerly worked at Pullman Standard as a fork truck operator.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church.

He also was a member of the Herman Volunteer Fire Company Fire Police, the RC Men’s Club, the Sarver Veterans Club and VFW Post 1424 in Marienville, Pa.

Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemarie Mellish Trimbur, whom he married June 25, 1966; three children, Donald Trimbur, of Cabot, Robert Trimbur and his wife, Laurie, of Butler, and Sonya Reed and her husband, Michael, of Herman; seven grandchildren, Amber Flack and her husband, Michael, Daryn Miller, Kelvin Miller, and Kathrine, Charles, Zachary and Tyler Reed; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Dru.

He is also survived by four siblings, Agnes Trimbur, of Florida, Leo Trimbur, of Chicora, Linda Eury, of Butler, and Sam Trimbur and his wife, Karen, of Chicora; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

TRIMBUR — Visitation and services were private for Charles H. Trimbur, who died Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of MARTIN FUNERAL HOME SOUTH SIDE, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
