Delores Boltz
Delores M. “Dee Dee” Boltz, 93, of Rivercliff Terrace, Kittanning, formerly of Worthington, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior, while in the company of her loving family Monday evening, Dec. 29, 2025, at ACMH Hospital.
Delores was born in East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, on May 23, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Max H. and Nellie Mae Toy Pyle.
She was a graduate of Kittanning High School. She was a longtime active member of the Chicora Alliance Church, having served the church as treasurer of the Alliance Women, Sunday school teacher and choir member. In her earlier years, Dolores was employed at G.C. Murphy in Kittanning and Butler. She enjoyed quilting, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, crafting, canning and was always faithful to attend her children’s and grandchildren’s school events. Dee Dee belonged to King’s Lane Bowling League for nearly 50 years. Delores had a well-known sense of humor, enjoyed talking and laughing with others, and looked forward to the company of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Foster J. Boltz, whom she married on the courthouse steps in Butler during the Butler Old Fashioned Days celebration on May 21, 1955, where their wedding was witnessed by all in attendance. The couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in May.
Also surviving are six children, Robert K. Boltz, of Butler, Theresa L. Long and her husband, Harry, of Kittanning, Lucinda K. “Cindy” Moore and her husband, Glenn, of East Brady, Richard K. Boltz and his wife, Vicki, of Worthington, Dennis L. Boltz and his wife, Lisa, of Kittanning, and Brent A. Boltz and his wife, Kathy, of Cape Cod, Mass.; as well as 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Nick Kijowski, of Evans City; her sisters-in-law, Sandy Pyle, of Karns City, Bertha Pyle, of Kittanning, Donna Pyle, of East Brady, Linda Pyle, of Elderton; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronald and Candy Boltz of Butler; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Delores was preceded in death by a daughter, Janine A. Kijowski; and a grandson, Travis Boltz. Dolores was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene, Arthur, Lester, Max Jr., George, Lloyd, Jack, Jerry and Floyd Pyle, Phyllis Watterson, Nancy Bowser and Katherine Elliott. Additionally, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Greg Sinkevich; as well as a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family would like to extend grateful appreciation to our Rivercliff Terrace family for the care and love they have rendered to Delores and Foster. They will forever be in our hearts.
BOLTZ — Friends of Delores M. “Dee Dee” Boltz, who died Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at HILE FUNERAL HOME OF CHICORA, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora.
Friends will also be received from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at Chicora Alliance Church, 310 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. A funeral service will follow at noon at the church with the Rev. Mark Wallace, church pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at Union First Presbyterian Cemetery in Cowansville.
