David Hill
David “Dave” M. Hill, 62, of Sarver, passed away Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 2, 1963, to the late Barbara (Robertson) Burland and Charles Hill.
Dave was an arborist and the owner/operator of Hill’s Tree Care & Nursery, LLC — a tree care, landscape and nursery business that he and his wife started from the ground up in 1994, in Sarver, with their son, Adam, by their side. Dave’s knowledge and love for his work was beyond measure. When Dave would sell a plant from the nursery, he would tell the customer to take good care of it because it is one of his babies! Dave appreciated each and every one of his customers.
To say Dave was an avid outdoorsman, is an understatement. His love of hunting, fishing, being outside, tree work and working with plants brought him countless years of happiness. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Dave is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Marianne L. (Fry) Hill, whom he married Sept. 4, 1993; one son, Adam (Megan) Hill; and one grandson — his pride and joy — Colton Hill. He is also survived by his siblings, Norm (Susan) Hill and Elizabeth Hill; and by his nieces and nephew.
Dave and his family are grateful for the gift of his donor heart. The family would like to thank Bridges Hospice for their immediate and loving care.
