A missing Armstrong County man was declared dead Tuesday, Dec. 23, according to the Armstrong County Coroner’s office.

Cory Dominic Cook, 31, had been missing since Dec. 19. He was recovered around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Allegheny River in Manor Township.

The incident is still under investigation by the Manor Township Police Department and the Armstrong Co. Coroner’s Office. There are no further details at this time.

The Manor Township Police Department previously said in a Facebook post Cook’s rental car was found abandoned on the Armstrong Trail path by Graff Bridge near Kittanning. Police spent days actively searching for Cook before pausing search operations Monday evening and converting to a water recovery operation.
