Evans City woman stabbed man, police say
A woman is facing charges after police say she stabbed a man in Connoquenessing Township home.
Lennie R. Lambert, 54, of Evans City, is accused of stabbing a man multiple times and attempting to trip an officer while she was being arrested on Monday, Dec. 22 at a Hoot Owl Road residence, police said.
She was charged Tuesday, Dec. 23, with two felony counts of aggravated assault and one misdemeanor count each of simple assault and resisting arrest related to the Monday incident.
Police said they responded to a residence for reports of a stabbing and could hear a woman screaming inside as they arrived. Police opened the door and encountered Lambert in the front hall way.
Police said Lambert refused to comply with orders and was detained on the front porch.
Police then spoke with a man in the residence and saw he had multiple stab wounds on his left shoulder and blood on his shirt. His shoulder also began to swell from being stabbed, police said.
The man told police Lambert came out of another room in the home irate and stabbed him in the shoulder multiple times with an unidentified object.
While escorting Lambert to a police vehicle, police said she attempted to trip the trooper guiding her down an icy hill. Police added she began to kick the inside of the patrol vehicle when placed there.
Lambert’s preliminary hearing has yet to be scheduled.
