None injured, resident displaced after trailer fire
A Parker Township resident found himself displaced but uninjured after an overnight fire at his trailer on Parker Pike.
Although fire departments responded quickly, the trailer was deemed a total loss, according to Steve Emery, chief of the Bruin Volunteer Fire Department.
“We had a pretty quick knock on it. I’d safely say we had the fire under control within 30 minutes,” Emery said. “The resident was displaced. He is going to stay with a local family.”
According to Emery, emergency crews determined that the blaze was caused when electrical heat tape ignited.
In addition to Bruin, volunteer fire departments from Chicora, Callensburg, and Perry Township, as well as Emlenton Area Ambulance Service, responded to the scene.
