Lingenfelter

William J. “Billy” Lingenfelter, 70, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025.

He was born in Butler on July 19, 1955, to the late William and Carol (Gonda) Lingenfelter.

After high school, William honorably served in the U.S. Army. He was a union roofer and member of Local 37. William was known for being always willing to help his friends and neighbors.

He enjoyed being outdoors, from hunting and fishing to landscaping and gardening. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and cooking.

He was the father of BreeAnn (Brent) Beckstein; brother of Kathy (Guy) Smith, Carol (Raymond) Herrock and Robin Lingenfelter; and grandfather of Bryson, Bryar and Brynn Beckstein. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

LINGENFELTER — All services for William J. “Billy” Lingenfelter, who died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
