Schumer intent on destroying Trump
Sen. Chuck Schumer demands that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth share video footage and explain why a second military strike was needed on a boat said to be filled with narcotics headed toward the United States.
Schumer’s demand reeks with betrayal of the armed forces and the citizens he supposedly represents.
I feel the real reason Schumer needs information about that attack is to accuse Hegseth and President Donald Trump of violating the international rules of military engagement outlined in the Geneva Conventions. Schumer will also claim that Trump violated the War Powers Act.
Does the Geneva Conventions consider narco-terrorism a war crime? Every president since World War II has sidestepped congressional approval of military engagement.
Does the commander in chief have the sole power to protect citizens from harm? Those questions need to be answered in a court of law or through a constitutional amendment.
But I feel this is not Schumer’s true intent — Schumer and his colleagues are determined to destroy Trump’s presidency.
We finally have a president who has the courage and tenacity to act on his promises so why are many so resentful of Trump? The answer may lie in why we are divided.
Americans are unable to agree on what constitutes justice, liberty and freedom for all.
