Had a different vision for Sugarcreek school
I am not a resident of the Karns City Area School District but I read in the Butler Eagle that the Sugarcreek Elementary School building was to be demolished.
I called the school district and offered to purchase the building and put it on the tax roll instead of the district paying to demolish it. I got no reply.
I asked my attorney to contact the district. They told him they would use a real estate agent for the sale of the building. Then I see the district offer to demolish the building in the legal ads Nov. 26 in the Butler Eagle.
The tax payers and residents deserve to know why a good asset is going to be destroyed, which they paid for plus the cost of demolition, when this could be used to educate their children.
In the Butler school district, they were going to do the same thing. I spent time and money to get them to sell the building. I was outbid, but the school district benefited.
