Deklan Gillespie

Gillespie

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deklan Troy “Duck” Gillespie, 19, on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at home in Fombell.

Born May 24, 2006, in Pittsburgh, he was the beloved son of Shawn and Jodie Barkley Gillespie.

In addition to his parents, Deklan is survived by his sister, Tiana; and brothers, Kaden and Jaxon.

He was very close with his siblings. They were not just family, they were his best friends. They shared an unbreakable bond, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

Everyone knew Deklan to be passionate and creative. He loved to forge and tried his hand at guitar. He was an artist, he loved to paint, draw and write poetry. He also had a love for cars and purchased himself a 1973 Mercury Cougar which he was restoring with his dad.

Deklan was very loved and will be deeply missed by those who knew him. He brought a lot of joy with his humor, his compassion for animals and the stories he would tell.

He graduated from Lincoln Park Performing Arts School in 2025. Recently, he completed his first semester at Beaver County Community College and was excited to start his January term to continue his pilot studies. He loved to fly planes. He also worked full time as a car detailer at Manheim Auto Auction in Cranberry Township.
