A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street Thursday morning, Dec. 18, in Butler, city police confirmed.

Emergency crews responded at 9:14 a.m. to the intersection of East Wayne and South Main streets for reports of a pedestrian being struck. Chief Robert O’Neill said the pedestrian was crossing the street against the light, and the driver who struck the pedestrian was not at fault.

The pedestrian sustained minor injuries and was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital.

Butler Ambulance Service and Butler Bureau of Fire also responded.
