Patricia Iams Kelly

Iams Kelly

Patricia A. Iams Kelly, 82, of Copperas Cove, Texas, formerly of Butler and Harrisville, passed away in the comfort of her home and in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025.

Born Jan. 13, 1943, in Steubenville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Kosut and Alice Hladysh Kosut McKitrick.

Patricia was a 1960 graduate of Madonna High School in Weirton, W.Va. In her youth, she enjoyed dance classes and she was active in the Girl Scouts.

Over the years, she was employed by the Fuller Brush Company, Fashion Bug, Robert Hall and Wendy’s.

Patricia had a real flair for interior decorating. That, combined with her love of all things Hallmark, led her family to joke that her home looked like a Hallmark store.

She especially enjoyed dancing and, while the music of the 1950s and ’60s was her favorite, she had a super crush on musician Barry Manilow and owned all of his albums.

An avid television watcher, “Law and Order” was by far her preferred show, and reruns of classic shows, such as “Perry Mason,” “Gunsmoke” and “Columbo,” were also at the top of her viewing list.

Patricia embraced adventure and loved to try many things, including sharing a scorpion tequila shot during a trip to New Orleans.

Faith was essential to Patricia’s life. When she lived in Harrisville, she was a member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church and, during her years in Butler, she attended St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and volunteered in the elementary catechism program. Instructing second-graders in Sunday school and helping to prepare them to receive the sacraments gave her great joy.

Patricia is survived by her son, Gilbert Iams, and his wife, Angela Church, of Copperas Cove, Texas; two daughters, Tina M. Sirois and her husband, Michael, of Meriden, Conn., and Colleen A. Iams, of Corsica, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Kathleen Iams, Paul Iams, Michael Iams, Christopher M. Sirois and his wife, Caitlin, Mary E. Sirois, Jessica Unger and her husband, Michael, and Samantha King and her husband, John Glenn Forsythe; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, George Kosut, and his wife, Peggy, of Clarksville, Tenn.; and one sister, Marcy Chrysanthopoulos, of Downers Grove, Ill.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband, Gilbert L. Iams, who passed away June 10, 1979; and her second husband, Ronald A, Kelly, who passed away March 19, 2005; one grandson, David L. King; one great-grandson; and four siblings, Edward Kosut, Honey Cimino, Joseph Kosut and John Kosut.
