2 charged after allegedly bringing contraband into Butler County Jail

Two people are facing charges after police said they were found overdosing in the Butler Area Public Library and then brought contraband into the Butler County Prison Tuesday, Dec. 16.

Elizabeth Stevenson, of Butler, and Charles Dombroski, of Gibsonia, were charged Wednesday, with felony possession or control of a controlled substance by an inmate and misdemeanor false identification to a law enforcement officer.

Butler police were called to the library after the pair were suspected of overdosing in the rear of the building.

When an officer asked Dombroski for his identification, he claimed he “did not have any” and then proceeded to give him the name “John Grebinoski.”

He was detained and his identification card was found in his wallet. Dombroski was found to have four warrants out of the Butler County sheriff’s office, according to an affidavit.

Stevenson, meanwhile, was confronted by the same officer after exiting the library’s bathroom. According to the affidavit, she told the officer her name was “Nezeah Barlow.”

She then gave the officer her real name and said that she had warrants. It was discovered she had three active bench warrants, the affidavit stated.

After they were arrested, officials at the Butler County Prison informed an officer that Dombroski was found in possession of approximately four blue stamp bags in a hidden pocket of his wallet. It was discovered that Stevenson also had four stamp bags with residue, according to the affidavit.

Preliminary hearings for Dombroski and Stevenson have not yet been set.
