Teenage girl injured in Saturday rollover crash in Winfield Township
A teenage girl suffered a head injury in a rollover crash Saturday morning, Dec. 13, in Winfield Township.
Police said the 16-year-old girl was taken a hospital by her mother after the vehicle she was riding in traveled over an embankment and overturned along Helmbold Avenue near Brose Road.
According to police, a 17-year-old boy was driving a Ford Ranger around 11 a.m. on Helmbold Avenue when he lost control on a right curve. The girl was a passenger in the vehicle.
The vehicle swerved off the shoulder and struck a large boulder when it drove over a 4-foot embankment. Police said the vehicle continued to travel north and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle onto its driver’s side.
Police said the girl experienced a head injury, but listed no injuries for the driver following the one-vehicle crash.
