More than 4,000 without power Monday morning in Butler County

More than 4,000 homes are without power Monday morning, Dec. 15, in southern Butler County, according to First Energy Corporation’s storm center.

The power company reported there were 4,712 homes without power in the area as of 7:15 a.m. Adams Township experienced the most outages Monday morning with 3,157 homes without power.

According to Callery Volunteer Fire Company, a significant power issue was reported overnight affecting the areas surrounding Callery and Adams Township.

“If you experience any issues, please don’t hesitate to call 911, and a fire department crew will be out to assist you,” it said in a Facebook post.

Adams Area Fire District said the outage is centered along the Three Degree Road and Route 228 corridor. Some reported are not total outages, meaning homes have power but not full electricity. The fire company said some lights may be working but are dim.

Mars was experiencing 921 outages as of 7:15 a.m., Valencia was experiencing 493 outages, and Forward Township was experiencing 118 outages, according to First Energy.

Evans City, Seven Fields, Butler, Middlesex Township, Connoquenessing Township and Butler Township were also experiencing fewer than 20 outages.

The areas in the southern part of the county list additional crews have been requested with restoration estimated by 9:30 a.m. Outages in Butler Township have crews on scene with restoration estimated by 8 a.m.

Central Electric Cooperative did not list any outages in the area.
