William ‘Bill’ Gabal Jr.
William “Bill” Gabal Jr., 68, of Butler, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness.
He was born on July 27, 1957, to Monica (Pancaro) Gabal and the late William Gabal.
A graduate of Ambridge Area High School, he earned his degree in criminal justice administration from Mercyhurst University. He spent many years in law enforcement, serving as chief detective for Erie County. Bill went on to work in bank security and later in insurance sales.
Among his hobbies and interests, he enjoyed reading, watching movies, collecting and was always up to discuss politics. Bill had very strong faith and was a member of Community Alliance Church.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Elaine (Hart) Gabal; his son, Grant (Danielle) Gabal; his mother; sister, Michele (Roman) Semkiw; and sister-in-law, Sharon Corsello.
He was preceded in death by his father.
GABAL — All services for William “Bill” Gabal Jr., who died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
