Cranberry Township’s Costco receives liquor license

Cranberry’s Costco will soon be able to add something new to its shelves.
Cranberry Township supervisors during a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 11, unanimously approved an intermunicipal liquor license transfer from the former Houlihan's Restaurant to the Costco located at 1050 Cranberry Square Drive.
While the multi-billion dollar corporation already sells alcohol in stores across the country, the local store, which opened in November 2001, will be the first one to sell alcohol in the state.
Customers will have the opportunity to purchase up to 192 fluid ounces of beer or ready-to-drink cocktails or up to four 750 milliliter bottles of wine in a single transaction.
